City Of Boulder Occupancy Survey

Jennifer Crowell | Published on 5/16/2023

The city of Boulder is seeking input from the community on both Occupancy and Affordable Housing.   At the state level, the Governor’s land use bill did not pass, so we are back to local government doing the work.  If you have a minute, please let your thoughts be known by answering the short questionnaire.  The deadline for the questionnaire is May 21, 2023.

To address the city’s housing crisis, the city is exploring changing the city’s Land Use Code to allow more occupants per house or apartment. The city is also looking at zoning changes that could remove barriers to adding more housing options in Boulder in terms of types and numbers. Increasing the housing stock can increase supply and bring costs down, allow more affordable housing options and add to the number of deed-restricted permanently affordable homes and apartments in the city. Please take this short questionnaire to share your thoughts on housing in Boulder. Feedback will be shared with City Council. City Council will be discussing the projects at its June 15, 2023 (tentative) meeting. Comments can also be sent to council at this link.
