Per the City of Boulder, When a property is exchanged with monetary value:

A transfer of rental license is not eligible

A new license is required under new ownership

To apply for a long-term rental license:

• submit your long-term rental license application (opens in a new window) online
  • processing may take up to 2 weeks
  • add RentalHousingLicensing@BoulderColorado.gov  to your safe sender list in email
  • watch your email for notifications for application status alerts, including online payment instructions
• SmartRegs certification stays with the property
